Acceptance of These Terms

By accessing or using the Artizone mobile application or website, you agree to these Terms and Conditions and the Artizone Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you should not use Artizone or contact suppliers through the service.

About Artizone

Artizone provides a platform through which consumers can find and contact independent artisans and service suppliers. Artizone is a directory and connection service. Artizone does not employ the suppliers listed on the platform and is not a party to any agreement made between a consumer and a supplier.

Eligibility

Artizone is intended for people aged 18 years and older. By using Artizone, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into agreements.

Supplier Information

Supplier profiles may contain information submitted by suppliers, including names, business details, trades, service areas, experience, qualifications, availability, photographs and contact details. Suppliers are responsible for ensuring that the information they provide is accurate, lawful and not misleading.

Artizone may review or verify certain information, but the appearance of a supplier on Artizone must not be interpreted as a guarantee of the supplier’s identity, qualifications, workmanship, reliability, availability or suitability for a particular task.

Contacting and Appointing a Supplier

Consumers decide independently whether to contact, interview or appoint a supplier. Before appointing a supplier, consumers should discuss the required work, price, materials, timing, qualifications, references, guarantees and any other relevant conditions directly with that supplier.

Any quotation, appointment, payment arrangement or service agreement is made directly between the consumer and the supplier.

Payments

Artizone does not currently process payments between consumers and suppliers. Consumers and suppliers are responsible for agreeing on payment terms and taking reasonable precautions before making or receiving payment.

Consumer Responsibilities

Consumers must use Artizone lawfully and respectfully. Consumers must not misuse supplier contact details, harass suppliers, submit false information, attempt fraud or use the platform for unlawful purposes.

Consumers remain responsible for assessing whether a supplier is appropriate for the work required and for taking reasonable safety precautions when arranging meetings or allowing access to property.

Supplier Responsibilities

Suppliers must provide truthful and current information, perform work lawfully and professionally, and comply with all laws, licences, permits, safety requirements and industry obligations that apply to their services.

Suppliers are responsible for their own quotations, agreements, workmanship, employees, assistants, tools, transport, taxes, insurance and dealings with consumers.

Prohibited Use

Users may not use Artizone to commit fraud, impersonate another person, provide false registration information, distribute harmful material, interfere with the operation of the service, collect information unlawfully or promote illegal goods or services.

Artizone may remove or restrict access to information that appears false, unlawful, harmful, misleading or inconsistent with these Terms.

Availability of the Service

Artizone is being introduced progressively, and supplier availability may differ between locations and service categories. Artizone does not guarantee that a suitable supplier will be available in every area or at every time.

The app or website may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, technical problems, internet interruptions or circumstances beyond Artizone’s reasonable control.

Complaints and Disputes

Consumers and suppliers should first attempt to resolve disputes directly with each other. Artizone may receive and review complaints about the use of the platform but is not responsible for deciding contractual, payment or workmanship disputes between consumers and independent suppliers.

Concerns about a supplier profile, suspected fraud or misuse of Artizone may be reported to admin@artizone.co.za.

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Artizone is not responsible for loss, damage, injury, delay, defective workmanship, payment disputes or other consequences arising from dealings between consumers and independent suppliers.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under South African law.

Privacy

Artizone processes personal information as described in the Artizone Privacy Policy. Questions or requests concerning personal information may be sent to admin@artizone.co.za.

Changes to These Terms

Artizone may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to the service, legal requirements or business practices. Updated Terms will be published on the Artizone website with a revised “Last updated” date.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute relating to Artizone will be dealt with under applicable South African law.

This wording deliberately preserves users’ statutory rights rather than trying to contract out of them, and treats Artizone as an electronic directory rather than the supplier of the listed artisans’ services. South Africa’s Consumer Protection Act promotes fair consumer markets, the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act regulates electronic transactions, and POPIA governs personal-information processing.
